Through Resolution No. DM-188 of June 29, the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development orders the temporary suspension of the terms and procedures that are developed in person at the General Directorate of Labor in the main headquarters of Plaza Edison, in the city of Panama due to a recent positive case of COVID-19 detected, with the aim of sanitizing its facilities.
The procedures that are carried out before the General Directorate of Labor such as resignations, registration of contracts, various certifications, internal regulations, permission, and union card, will be carried out by accessing www.mitradel.gob.pa and the Labor Orientation services will be offered via telephone in the central 800-0016, option 2.
The face-to-face procedures that will be temporarily suspended, for a period of 9 working days, are those of the Judicial and Labor Relations Secretariat, which includes the Mediation services, Labor Orientation (face-to-face), and the Individual and Collective Conciliations. The hearings of the judicial processes, which are carried out in this Directorate, will be rescheduled to be held from July 13, 2020.
